in our 5th lesson we went over the meaning and response.
we also went over all the key elements for example cinematography, mise-en-scene, sound and editing.
finally we watched a short clip from the film ‘No country for old men’ and wrote a bit on characters.

Genre
We learned about different Genres also how they can be used and how they can changed so efficiently. Genre is a term used to categorise media texts according to a set of common characteristics or conventions.
Sub Genre is a smaller genre within a large genre
Hybrid=multiple genres used inside one project

learning summary- in our first lesson we were introduced to the subject film studies. We discussed the curriculum we will be studying for the 2 year course. We were asked why we picked the subject and also what we will expect to learn about in film studies.
